Ali al-Nimr, Dawood al-Marhoon and Abdullah al-Zaher are facing imminent execution. They were arrested after allegedly participating in pro-democracy protests and sentenced to death. They were all children at the time. They were all tortured into ‘confessions’ and convicted in secret trials.
The British government has always said it doesn't expect Ali, Dawood and Abdullah to be executed – but has failed to call for their release. Ali, Dawood and Abdullah could be executed at any time and they need more than vague assurances.
