Ali al-Nimr was sentenced to death as a child for the ‘crime’ of attending pro-democracy protests in Saudi Arabia. He will spend his 22nd birthday on Wednesday 21st December on death row. Sentenced to ‘death by crucifixion’, he could be executed at any time.
